Some workers in a North African country were in a cafe and chatted briefly with the waitress asking if there was anything they would pray for her.  She replied that her husband was unemployed and looking for work.  So they prayed that her husband would find a job.  Some time later they returned to the same cafe and the waitress was eager to report that immediately after they had prayed, her husband had found work.  The workers asked if they would pray for anything else to which the waitress replied that she and her husband had been married for some years but had not yet been able to have a baby.  So the workers prayed that she would conceive.  The good news is that twins were born a month ago!!  God answers prayers!!  Ask God that this whole family would be open to receive the Good New of Jesus Christ which has been shared with them.

In a different North African nation, a worker regularly visits the same cafe in the mornings to have a drink and some breakfast.  He soon realized that there was a group of regulars at this cafe, and he became one of them.  The regulars have got to know one another and share some conversation over breakfast.  Ask God for conversations to turn to spiritual things as well.

How can we pray :

• Praise God that cafe culture is a way to meet people in North Africa.
• Ask God for more opportunities to share spiritual conversations in the cafes.
• Pray for demonstrations of God’s love and power in the lives of North Africans in the same way that God showed his love and power for the waitress in the story above.
• Pray for boldness and wisdom when sharing in public places such as cafes.
