Questions Asked in Mauritania

Being a follower of Jesus in my country is hard. I am always wondering what people will think of me. Do they know I am not a Muslim? Will I be able to find a wife? What if I loose my job?

These are some of the concerns of a Mauritanian believer. There are some believers in this country who have spoken out about being followers of Jesus, and others have not yet done so because there are many fears and concerns.

Let’s pray :

  • Father, we ask you to confirm Your presence in the lives of those who know you in Mauritania. May they feel your love and care for them. May they know that you will never leave them or forsake them.
  • We ask you, Jesus, to drive out fear and anxiety and in their place, pour in your peace and hope.
  • Father, please fill your believers in Mauritania will an overwhelming joy in their salvation. Their eternal future is secured! You died for them, took their sins on yourself and rose back to life in order to purchase eternity in heaven. May the joy and assurance of this refresh believers once again. May it also fill them with courage and a desire to share this Good News with others around them.
  • Lead your believers in Mauritania to “people of peace” (Matt 10:5-14). Father, we ask for divine appointments with people who are ready to listen and receive the news of Jesus’ love. We pray that you would protect them from those who would harm them or expose them unjustly.
  • Jesus, build your church in Mauritania. May the seed fall on good soil. We ask you today to water, protect and grow the seeds that have already been sown until you bring a harvest
