Pray Without Ceasing

The city of Nouakchott, Mauritania.

For many believers, churches, denominations, and missions organizations, prayer has been lost. The Apostle Paul says: “Pray without ceasing,” or “Pray continually,” or “Never stop praying.”

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

New believers in Mauritania are not discipled into “praying continually” because few that bring the Good News to them have been discipled into “pray continually.” We know that Jesus desired and spent seasons in prayer. We know that Paul was a prayer warrior. The battle is great but it seems like prayer has lost its importance to modern followers of Jesus.

Pray that Christians in Mauritania would grow in prayer, becoming more dependent of God for everything.
For those places where Jesus is not known, prayer needs to be a large part of releasing the Gospel in their hearts.
Pray that prayer would increase right across Mauritania.

“Our battle is not against flesh and blood…” Ephesians 6:10-20
