Isolated Believers

For years we have prayed for isolated believers across Libya. These are people who have come to know the Lord but are not living close to other believers, and they might still be hiding their faith from their families for fear of their lives. Continue to pray for these isolated believers. Pray for their whole families to come to faith in Jesus. God has already done something in these individuals, now we are asking God to bring their whole family to faith. When families come to know the Lord Jesus, a small church can be birthed, fellowship is right there, and the whole community can be effected. As the early church started, families coming to faith in the Lord Jesus was part of the whole movement. Pray that God would bring whole families to faith and that these families will tell other families about the Lord Jesus.

There are a few house church fellowships in Libya. Praise God for these believers who are willing to meet together. Other believers are too frightened to tell others. Pray for them to meet with Jesus in their own personal walk with the Lord. Pray that they may be led to other believers.

Praise God that Libyans are accessing the Gospel through the internet in numbers greater than ever before. Praise God for Christian satellite television programs in Libyan Arabic. Pray that many will find these channels and watch together with family members or friends.

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.

Then Peter said, “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.
—Acts 10:44-48

Pray for baptisms in Libya. Pray also for the Libyan diaspora around the world. Ask God to soften their hearts and cause them to be open to hear the Truth about Jesus Christ.
